This is the artists version taken from the original popular sculpture by Bertel Thorvaldsen. Thorvaldsen's Christus can been seen in visitor centers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The original is in Denmark. This statue gives Christ a more masculine look through the face, and a more muscular build.
