| OUR SERVICES: Design: We offer our own designs, we can create a custom design for you or simply use your concept design and fabricate it in its native size or enlarge it for a heroic size casting. We involve our clients in all aspects of the design and provide electronic image updates of the design process. Sculpture Enlargement: We can create a marquette model from which we can create an enlargement or we can take your sculpture and enlarge it, preserving all the detail of the original. Mold Making: The final product is only as good as the mold. We are experts in mold making and will design a mold specific to your needs, wether it be a one-up bronze casting, or a production rotational casting mold. We utilize silicones, urethanes, foam and fiberglass molds. Rotational Casting: Rotational casting can be used to reproduce fine detail in small or heroic size statuary and architectural elements. Rotational casting spins the mold on multiple axis to ensure that the casting medium settles in all areas of the mold. Click here to see how rotational casting works. Open Face Casting: Larger item molds which need to be brushed in or sprayed in require an open face mold. The finished statue can then be assembled and seams chased to ensure a perfect finish. Small Mold Casting: Small molds are usually simply poured or put in a pressure pot to ensure removal of air bubbles. The statues can be cast in practically any look by adding different pigments and aggregates. The stand look is called "cast marble". Most retailer will call cast marble simple marble. Sadly that is not correct. Cast marble is a combination of resins, marble powders and different materials. ArcStone has many tried and tested proprietary mixes available for cast marble or cold cast bronze. Fiberglass and Foam: Statues can be sculpted directly from foam and then be covered in fiberglass to provide a weather proof surface. The fiberglass can be painted or can be patinaed to look like a bronze casting. Creating a statue in fiberglass can save thousands of dollars on a big project. Bronze Casting: Bronze casting will always be the most durable casting medium, but at the same time the most expensive and the heaviest. Many times there is simply no replacement for bronze. |
